Everybody awaits this year’s Olympic Games that will take place in Rio de Janeiro (Brasil) in Deodoro Olympic Park. We will be able to watch 200 pairs during them – horses and riders from 43 various countries, competing for six gold medals in jumping, dressage and eventing, in individual and team competitions.

However, before we will be able to observe these competitions of sportsmen from all over the world, the equestrian organization FEI decided to organise a #TwoHearts campaign, which aims at reminding people about the special nature of horse riding.

Olympics mean cooperation

#TwoHearts campaign which began on April 5, emphasises the special bond between a horse and a rider. Its main goal is to present horse riding as a unique olympic sport, showing it as a relationship, an intuitive understanding and involved partnership of two athletes – animal and human.

Fans can support this campaign by posting and sharing photos and video materials on social media, tagging them with hashtags #TwoHearts and #RoadToRio.
Concentrating on this special relation between the horse and the rider, we can connect not only fans of horse riding, but also interest supporters of other sports. This campaign ought to promote equestrianism not only before and during Rio 2016, but also after the hot olympic period.
